In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires:

"the Act" means the Local Government Act;

"allowance" means the allowance provided for in article 32(2) of the Act;

"Association" shall have the same meaning assigned to it in the Act;

"councillor" shall have the same meaning assigned to it in the Act;

"Deputy Mayor" shall have the same meaning assigned to it in the Act;

"Mayor" shall have the same meaning assigned it in the Act;

"Members elected on the general list" shall have the same meaning assigned to it in the Local Councils

(Association) Regulations;

"President of the Association" means the office provided for in regulation 14 of the Local Councils (Association)

Regulations;
