In these Bye-Laws unless the context otherwise requires:

"the Act" means the Local Government Act;

"activity" means all outdoor activities in terms of these Bye-Laws and includes all activities of recreation, entertainment, tombola, fête and barbecue;

"applicant" means any person who applies for a permit according to these Bye-Laws and includes companies, clubs and groups;

"application" means a request made by an applicant to the Council in accordance with these Bye-Laws in the form shown in the Second Schedule to these Bye-Laws;

"Council" means the Il-Qrendi Local Council;

"locality" means the locality of Qrendi as identified under the Act;

"mechanical vehicle" means any vehicle propelled by mechanical power;

"private land" means any immoveable property in respect of which a person has title and includes land which is given on encroachment by Government.
