In these Bye-Laws unless the context otherwise requires -

"the Act" means the Local Government Act; "the Council" means L-Imqabba Local Council; "designated areas" means those areas designated by the competent authorities for the placement of tables and chairs exclusively for the consumption of food and beverages; "glass container" includes glass bottles, glasses and, or any other glass containers intended for the serving of any beverages; "locality" means the locality of L-Imqabba; "public place" means all the streets including pavements, squares and public gardens, within the Imqabba locality.
