S.L. 36.20 Art. 4Importation permits.

(1) No animals shall be imported into Malta from any country whatsoever without a written permission from the Director having been previously obtained to that effect.

(2) The Director may defer consideration of importation applications, so as to obtain official information about the existence or otherwise of disease in the exporting country.
