The competent authority shall issue Covered Bonds

Rules on the composition of cover pools. Such Rules shall ensure investor protection and shall, where relevant, set the conditions for the inclusion by credit institutions issuing covered bonds of primary assets that have differing characteristics in terms of structural features, lifetime or risk profile in the cover pool.
