S.L. 327.742 Art. 3Requirements for Admission

(1) In order to be admitted into the Course, applicants shall be in possession of passes in the Secondary Education Certificate Examination at Grade 5 or better in the following:

(i) any TWO subjects from English Language, Mathematics, or Maltese; and

(ii) any ONE subject from Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Studies, Agribusiness, Geography, Physics, Economics, Business Studies or Information Technology; and

(iii) any other subject.

(2) Subject to the approval of the Board, applicants not in possession of the qualifications indicated in paragraph (1) of this bye-law but in possession of other qualifications in an area of study related to Agriculture may also be considered.

(3) Applicants considered as “Adult Learners” (mature THE AUSPICES OF THE INSTITUTE OF EARTH SYSTEMS

applicants) in terms of paragraph (c) of regulation 6 of the Admissions Regulations must be in possession of those qualifications and/or experience that would satisfy the Board that they have reached the academic standard required to follow the Course with profit. Such applicants shall be required to submit with their application a letter written in English giving their motivation for applying for this Course together with a copy of their Curriculum Vitae (C.V.).

(4) The eligibility of applicants referred to in paragraphs (2) and (3) of this bye-law shall be decided by the Board, following an interview conducted by a board appointed for the purpose.

(5) The interviewing board appointed by the Board shall be composed of at least three members.
