S.L. 327.695 Art. 41

The Faculty Doctoral Committee shall periodically inform the Board, in writing, on the general performance of students. Such advice may include a recommendation either to:

(a) grant an extension of the study period in order to enable the students to complete the thesis, provided that the period of extension of studies shall be according to regulation 23; or

(b) terminate the studies prematurely if this is deemed to be proper in the circumstances, provided that students may appeal to Senate within 15 working days from the notice of termination of studies.
