S.L. 327.633 Art. 8Suspension of Studies.

(1) The Board may allow students, for a good and sufficient reason, to suspend their studies for a maximum period of twelve months, irrespective of whether the student is registered on a full-time or part-time basis. In such cases, the period of suspension of studies shall not be taken into consideration for calculating the period of registration in the Course in terms of the statutory duration requirement.

(2) In exceptional or personal circumstances, Senate, on the recommendation of the Board, may grant a further period of suspension of studies.

(3) A student who is on suspension of studies shall not follow any Study-Unit, sit for any assessment, or work on the Dissertation.
