S.L. 327.507 Art. 1Citation and interpretation.

(1) The title of these bye-laws is the Bye-Laws for the Degree of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - LL.B. (Hons), the Degree of Bachelor of Laws - LL.B., and the Diploma of Legal Procurator -

Dip. L.P. - under the auspices of the Faculty of Laws.

(2) In these bye-laws, unless the context otherwise requires -

“the Board” means the Board of the Faculty of Laws;

“the Course” means the programme of study leading to the degree of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - LL.B. (Hons), or to the degree of Bachelor of Laws - LL.B., - or to the Diploma of Legal Procurator - Dip. L.P. - as the case may be;

“the Honours Degree” means the degree of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - LL.B. (Hons);

“the Degree” means the degree of Bachelor of Laws - LL.B.;

“the Diploma” means the Diploma of Legal Procurator – Dip. L.P. and, only for the purpose of bye-law 5 (3), means the Diploma in Law;

“the Higher Diploma” means the Higher Diploma in Law; and

“the Principal Regulations” means the General Regulations for University Undergraduate Awards, 2004.
