When providing personal data following a request for information, the International Relations Unit and competent law enforcement authorities shall ensure that:

(a) the personal data are accurate, complete and up to date, in accordance with regulation 7(2) of the Data Protection (Processing of Personal Data by Competent Authorities for the Purposes of the Prevention, Investigation, Detection or Prosecution of Criminal Offences or the Execution of Criminal Penalties) Regulations;

(b) the categories of personal data provided per category of data subject remain limited to those listed in Section B of Annex II to the Europol Regulation, and are necessary for and proportionate to achieving the purpose of the request;

(c) they provide, at the same time and in so far as possible, the necessary elements enabling the Single Point of Contact or the competent law enforcement authority of another Member State to assess the degree of accuracy, completeness and reliability of the personal data and the extent to which the personal data are up to date.
