S.L. 118.3 Art. 4Appointment of deputy census officers, district managers, supervisors and enumerators.

(a) The census officer may appoint such number of suitable persons as he may deem necessary to be deputy census officers, district managers, supervisors and enumerators and he shall assign localities and enumeration areas to them as he may deem appropriate.

(b) Notice of the appointment of every deputy census officer, district manager, supervisor and enumerator shall be published in the Gazette.

(c) Where it appears to the census officer that a deputy census officer, district manager, supervisor or an enumerator is by reason of illness or for any other reason, unfit to perform his duties under the Act, the Census Order and these regulations, the census officer may appoint some fit and proper person in his place to perform such duties.
