Cap. 525 Art. 5Commissioner for the Promotion of Rights of Persons with Mental Disorders.

(1) There shall be established a Commissioner for the

Promotion of Rights of Persons with Mental Disorders, hereinafter referred to as "the Commissioner", to be appointed by the Prime

Minister after consulting the Leader of the Opposition under such terms as he deems appropriate.

(3) In the performance of his functions, the Commissioner shall be assisted by and shall consult with -

(a) healthcare professionals; and

(b) any other person including users and carers.
