Cap. 476 Art. 3Purpose.

The purpose of this Act is to safeguard the integrity of

Maltese and Community financial markets and to enhance investor confidence in those markets. For this object, this Act also transposes and implements the Market Abuse Regulation and the Market Abuse Directive, and consequently this Act and any regulations adopted thereunder, shall be interpreted and applied accordingly.
