Cap. 462 Art. 7Removal or suspension from office.

A Commissioner may at any time be removed or suspended from office by the Prime Minister after consultation with the

Committee on the grounds of proved inability to perform the functions of the office of Commissioner (whether arising from infirmity of body or mind or any other cause) or proved misbehaviour: Provided that if the Committee is not constituted or if Parliament is not in session, the Commissioner may be suspended from office by the Prime Minister, acting in accordance with his own discretion, for inability to perform the functions of the office or misbehaviour proved to the satisfaction of the Prime Minister, but any such suspension shall not continue in force beyond two months after the Committee is constituted and Parliament is in session.
