Cap. 415 Art. 8Exhaustion of the distribution rights.

(1) The first sale or other transfer of ownership in the market of the original work enjoying copyright or copies thereof, when such sale is effected by or with the consent of the copyright owner himself, shall exhaust the exclusive distribution right in respect of that work or its copy.

(2) For the purposes of this article "market" means the market in Malta and as from the 1st May 2004 the European Union.
