Cap. 13 Art. 311When shipper may abandon goods for freight.

The shipper cannot abandon for the freight goods which have decreased in value or deteriorated whether by their own inherent vice or by any fortuitous event. Nevertheless, if casks of wine, oil, honey, or other liquids have so leaked as to be empty or almost empty, such casks may be abandoned for the freight.
