Where the period to file an opposition against an international registration ends after the expiry of the refusal period specified in Article 5(2)(b) of the Protocol or the Comptroller considers that it will end too late for the Comptroller to send a notification under rule 59 within that refusal period, the Comptroller shall send a communication informing that fact to the International Bureau, complying with the requirements of Rule 16 of the Regulations under the Protocol.
