S.L. 399.48 чл. 74Status of the existing universal service.

(1) The Authority may continue to ensure the availability or affordability of other services, except for adequate broadband internet access service as defined in accordance with regulation 71(3) and voice communications services at a fixed location, if the Authority considers that national circumstances justify the need for such services:

Provided that if the Authority designates undertakings in any part or all of Malta for the provision of such services, then regulation 73 shall apply:

Provided further that the financing of such obligations shall comply with regulation 77.

(2) The Authority shall review the obligations imposed pursuant to this regulation by 21 December 2021, and every three years thereafter.
