(1) The Faculty Doctoral Committee shall request a recommendation from the proposed Principal Supervisor and the Head of Department in the form of an academic report, following consultation, with the Department, that the research topic and proposal are acceptable and the research is feasible.

(2) Applicants shall be interviewed by the Faculty Doctoral Committee with the participation of the applicants’ proposed Principal Supervisor in order to assess the applicants’ ability and potential to reach doctoral level.

(3) The recommendation of the Faculty Doctoral Committee shall be referred by the Board to the Doctoral Academic Committee for its consideration.
