Cap. 439 чл. 9Surgical operations.

(1) Surgical operations for the purpose of modifying the appearance of an animal by which any part of the animal’s body is removed or damaged, other than for a curative purpose, shall be illegal, unless otherwise prescribed in regulations made under this Act. Surgical operations shall be carried out by a veterinary surgeon or pursuant to a Minister’s order issued in consultation with the Veterinary Surgeons Council.

(2) The Minister may make regulations -

(a) establishing the manner and cases in which surgical operations may be performed; and

(b) regulating embryo transplantation in animal species or categories of species as may be therein indicated.
